About

I’m currently (July 2011) writing this blog about public education, but will shift to blogging about my new book, Seeds of Freedom: Liberating Education in a Guatemalan Village, 1970-2010, when it is ready.  The blog is entitled “Seeds of Freedom,” when three of the first four blogs are about threats to public education–so what is the sense of the title?  Where is the freedom in that?  The concept is that we need to know what is happening to our culture and us before we can take up the campaign for freedom.  The one that features Maya Soetoro-Ng calls attention to what needs to happen in liberating education.  If you like the blog, please “like” on Facebook and send me a comment.
